Description:

MWM / CDE / MOTIF Window Decorations 1.1 for deKorator

Get the elegant retro look window decorations of CDE and the like. No-gradients guarantee!

Colors will be adapted from your current theme's colors

Now added multiple sizes for the title bar (50%-140%)


INSTALLATION

-Install deKorator from your package manager
-Unpack in ~/.kde/apps/share/deKorator/themes

SETTINGS NEEDED TO MAKE IT MATCH CDE LOOK:

In KDE settings > window decorations > configure buttons:
-minimize button must be outermost left
-maximize button must be outermost right
-other buttons must be placed on the right side, but left of the maximize button

(due to limited deKorator configurability)

In KDE settings > window decorations > configure decoration: (ie deKorator settings)

Title:
-title alignment: center
-draw shadowed title text: x=-1, y=1, color=black
-use menu button image instead of application icon

Colors:
-colorize frames & buttons
-colorizing methos: KDE

In KDE settings > application appearance > colors

Colors tab:
-active titlebar color #F2A053
-inactive titlebar color #888A85

(Colors will be adapted from the current color theme)

In KDE Settings > Application Appearance > Style

-In the Applications tab choose Widget Style=Motif

-In the GTK+ Appearance section choose Widget Style=Raleigh (Not shure if there is a motif gtk engine still around)

thnx. Due to limitations of deKorator you need to place the minimize button in the utmost left position (most left button on the left side of the window) and the maximize button on the right side. All other buttons need to be on the right side of the window (left of the maximize button). Then it looks ok. I couldn't find another way to make it work...

The top corners of the outside window frame should be striated, just like the bottom corners. For some reason this was done with the icons instead. The problem this creates is that icons can't be reordered without mucking up the corner striations.
