I really like font U have used on Ur desktop, can U please give us its name? It look very clean and nice, it's a reall eye-candy.

How did U setup Ur antialiasing for fonts?

KDE is as much Mac like as it is windows like. I see positive qualities from both of them wrapped in something quite unique as well. Gnome is somehow prone to being dressed up mor maccish but it still feels so very window 98 or maybe even 95 to me. The Windows dress up sites are so very Mac all the time and there seems to a lot of people using blackbox as well.
I think people can style up however they want.

...why so many ppl like Vista windecos. They might look nice, but look at them from the POV of usability:

Window borders are way too thick. I mean, they're just plain waisting screen space (window titlebar also takes space, but at least you can see the window title there). Action buttons are shifted from the corner - so one has to aim when closing a maximized window. With almost any other theme you could just move the mouse to the corner and click - then the current maximized window is closed.

Why nobody sees that MS sucks at usability (look at MS Office 2007 or IE 7 - they are close to unusable)? Is it worth copying blindly?

Okay, then give us an example of just what you're referring to. I know that I'm really tired of all the whining about copying. If you're using KDE then let's be honest, it's really modeled after MS Windows desktop environment. Sure there are many improvements and the ability to configure to your own specifications is considerably easier, but the basic model is still there.

Gnome is alot like Mac. So other than fluxbox, Window Maker, and Symphony, what other 'innovative' desktop experience are you trumping?

Let's be completely honest - Windows isn't innovative too - it's a MacOS ripoff (compare screenshots of windows 1.0 and MacOS 1.0 -- which of them resembles modern windows more?). MacOS also derived graphical widgets from Xerox. Moreover, many ideas of many DEs are from Sun's CDE. So there's no DE or WM that's completely original.

What I propose is no to abandon all that is similar to windows or OS/2 or MacOS X or Solaris or anything. I just wish that ppl would not just copy everything, but take only good ideas, combine and modify them, add their own and therefore create something new. My major concern is usability. Now, KDE's usability is way better than Vista's, so copying Vista themes is like a downgrade IMO.

This is really nice. I was very impressed when I looked at the preview. I will try it out when I load KDE up again. (in fluxbox now).

There are enough of them... seriously.
Your theme looks better than many other Vista lookalikes, but it's still a vista lookalike, something I believe most people are getting sick of by now...at least I am...
