Hi!

This is a theme for the Mandrake Control Center. It changes the whole appearence of the application, and has been made to be homogeneous with the kde crystal theme.

* Download the theme
* Detar the archive : tar -zxvf crystal.tgz
* In root, copy it to the right place : su -c "cp -r crystal /usr/share/mcc"
* Launch Mandrake Control Center, a additional theme menu appears
* Choose the crystal theme

Enjoy!

BTW, if you are willing to help me building new themes from the kde themes, you are welcome (I'm not a graphist at all!)

I updated the logo, splash screen and about screen. I also changed the strange colorized effect to a more conventional grey effect. Hope you like it better now. Enjoy!

Hey dams, how about a bueish
hightlight for the icons?

don't you think the grey is a little...
ya know.. dark? ;oP

actually i liked the green ( or purple ) best. so if you are trying
some new stuff you could try blue..



just an idea..

Good update, looks excellent. But the Keyboard icon in Hardware doesn't turn grey. It just get's a brighter brown.

yo, I've been readin and d/lin stuff from kde-look for nearly a month now with absolutely no inclination whatsoever to register until now. gettin rid of that ugly control centre really did it for me. thanks man.

i would like to make a suggestion though. that is, when some of the options are highlighted, i'm a bit bewildered by the fact that the colours are not really consistent (ie/ some highlight to purple, while others to green!!??) that's nasty, at least IMHO.. i might edit the PNGs to better suit my taste but then i'd have to rerelease the thing i don't want to do that.. :)

I agre totally, but like I said, I'm not a grphist, and I didn't know good generic effect to apply on the icons to make them highlighted. I have some ideas now, but notat the time I did the 0.1.

Anyway, if you want to change them, please go on and send me the corrected png files, I'll update it.

is this for mdk 8.2 only? cause it won't work on my 8.1...

Yeah, sorry for this, but it's only for 8.2, as this version has been totally reworked.

In fact, hte 8.1 mcc uses some icons too, they are located in /usr/share/icons I think, you can change them.

try to do this:
grep 'png|xpm' /usr/X11R6/bin/drakconf.real to get the icons/gfx names
