Can anyone tell me how can i start the screenlet without the groups being collapsed??

it should only collapse the groups that are collapsed in pidgin.

I love this screenlet, but there are two key things that keep it form being perfect for me.

1.) It should launch pidgin in the background, so that it doesn't have to be running and minimized to tray for the screenlet to work.

2.) Could it use the nested buddy aliases, where you can have all of a person's account included under a single entry in the buddy list, as you can in real buddy list.

Great suggestions both. I haven't been able to work on this for many months. Hopefully will have a bit more time now to spend on this.

Hmm.. it works for me. Did you try right-click -> Sort buddies -> by name ?

Try deleting $HOME/.config/Screenlets/Pidgin directory

I keep getting the problem with the bottom cutting off. Also people logged on disappear and reappear.

actually this works with pidgin 2.2.1 on ubuntu gutsy.

but i have problem with the skin, everytime the screenlets is started the skin is set to default, not black like i want it. any idea? all other settings are saved correctly.

I'm loving this screenlet, there is only one more thing that would make it perfect for me and that would be irc support.

Reading through the comments I saw that someone asked this a while ago and was told it wasn't a priority, I was just wondering if this has changed?

looks great but the themeing support WORESENED! i liked the plain old images better personally. much easier to skin. otherwise, amazing updates :D

what a great screenlet! Would it be possible to "emulate" the chat windows also? i think pidgin is quite ugly.

Yeah I had thought about it.. I'll take a pass at it some time in the future, though that will basically be moving it more towards a gtk based app (though with cairo drawn widgets)

With version 0.31 conversation window isn't raised anymore when I click on a contact.
Is this a bug or has this feature gone ?
It was handy.
