Great screenlet but do I type with or without '=' in Compiz Manager?

Works fine, but has a few bugs.
Its the only screenlet that dont remember its position when i reboot.
It starts then always on the top of the desktop.
And you can´t put an icon below it,
cause it seems the "Window" is invisible,
but reaches to the bottom of the screen.
After rebooting i can click in the space under it,
and iam able to move it.
This happens so long as i selece a other theme or someting....
Hope it will updatet in the future,
cause it looks cool. ;)

This screenlet launches with an error saying "screenlet may not be working correctly, Try re-installing the screenlet" It loads shortly after that error message but says pidgin not running. I then restart pidgin and the screenlet still fails to detect pidgin running.

I am running pidgin 2.4.0 with screenlets 0.14 on ubuntu gutsy, no compiz or beryl and all other screenlets work.

Update:

My setup has changed.
When I first installed the screenlet, it was 0.2.2. I had pidgin 2.4.0.
I am now running pidgin 2.4.1
Since the screenlet was updated to 3, It does not do anything. Manager confirms that the screenlet IS running. but nothing pops up on the desktop now. Bad to worse.

Some way for mail notification would be really nice to add to the screenlet. I just started using it and love how minimal the default theme is. It fits perfectly on my desktop and I can have the main window hidden, I just don't get mail motifications if it is hidden that is why a mail notification would be nice. Keep up the great work.

The bottom Part of my buddy list is cut off for some reason. Do you know why this is happening? Is my list too large?
I am running Pidgin 2.4.0 with screenlets version 0.0.12.

I also had to rename some groups (zGirls,zGuys) on my buddy list because the screenlet sorts the groups alphabetically. It would be a great feature to add a ticker in the properties to enable or disable this.

also, is there a way to manually set how many pixels you want to be shown from the list? Like if i wanted to only show the first group, could i edit the source to show the top and cut off the bottom half of the list?

i dont know python but i tried changing the numbers in here "ctx.rectangle(0,0,200,800)" but it didn't do anything.

I installed the latest Pidgin from source and the screenlet stopped working. Apparently it only works if it can find it in Synaptic perhaps?

I've got Pidgin open, but the screenlet keeps saying "pidgin not running."

Using Pidgin 2.4.0 in arch has the same problem. No errors though.

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned, but I'm not going to read through all the comments to find out.

I changed the theme to "transparent" and now I can't right-click on it to bring up the context menu. I can move it around with alt-click, and perform window manager actions with alt-right-click.

I'm probably just going to install it again.

I think there might be a bug when the screenlet is auto-started. I've just been fighting with a similar problem - right-clicking the widget (which is on Compiz's Widget layer) just right-clicks on the desktop and hides the widget layer.

Restarting the widget has fixed the problem for now (any part of the screenlet is clickable) but it does seem it can get in to situations with the buddy list up where none of the area is right-clickable.

Other than that it is a great screenlet. Now I just need to see if I can Tango-ise it.

no, doesn't look normal. looks like something is wrong rendering images with transparency. do other screenlets work?

found what was the problem. Compiz or smth like that was needed. Without it it would be like on my screenoshot:( Its bad, i want use it at home:(

All of my screenlets start up looking similar before Compiz starts and enables better transparency. Have you tried editing the theme and removing the transparency on the status icons?

mine is completley transparent and its hard to find the place to click to move it etc.
