Please tell me what is good and bad in this theme!
Goals:
- Original ! (NOT another-Vista-XP-OSX theme...).
- Few images, few bytes.
- As invisible as possible while remaining informative and usable,
- Targetted at Metacity AND Compiz-Fusion.
Features:
- Transparent titlebar.
- Support for newer Metacity buttons: stick, above, shade.
- Buttons are small stones, that kind of "sit on" the window, along with the icon.
- Buttons get "lighted on" when focused.
- Unobtrusive when the window is unfocused.
- Colors from the current GTK theme.
- Only 5 pixels "wasted" on top in maximized mode, with the buttons still visible.
- Red border for modal dialogs.
Without Metacity/Compiz Composite extension:
- Opaque titlebar with rounded corners.
This is my first theme, written from scratch using only the format specification, in a very straightforward way.

Version 1.3 and 2.0:
Obviously, people didn't like something about the theme, so I decided to make it more informative and nicer to look at.
- Nicer slightly transparent "light" when the mouse is over a button.
- Each button now shows its function (cross, rectangle...).
- 2.0 only: fading background under the active window title.
Version 1.2:
- Dialogs have their title back (was removed with fix to BUG 2).
- Unfocused titles are shown. No title was "cool" at first, but I found I need them.
Version 1.1:
- Clean-up (more homogeneity between format-1 and format-2 themes, less hard-coded values).
- Correction to BUG 2: new small icon for Dialogs' menus.
- No more "ghost titlebar" with unfocused windows: I didn't like those after all.
- Toggle buttons (maximize, stick, shade, above) also toggle aspect.
- Format-2 theme (with newer buttons) contains "REPLACE" comments for those who wish to modify it, for use in current Metacity but without the Composite extension (see bug 3).
Known bugs in version 1.0:
- BUG 1: With Compiz, the "shade", "stick", and "above" buttons work only half as expected.
- BUG 2: My attempt to make the title play the role of the icon with dialogs "kind of" works but the title is then truncated.
- BUG 3: Metacity seems to have a bug when transparency is disabled in X, leading to the titlebar showing exactly as intended only after the window has been shaded and unshaded.
