This Metacity theme is pure genius. Looks very nice with the Gilouce GTK theme.

I have one suggestion. I think the height should be a few pixels more. As it is now it looks to thin compared to tabs in for example Gnome Terminal and Nautilus.

Also it look a bit thin when comparing to the menu bar in the windows.

I have a suggestion for the theme, it's just a little thing but you know the devil is in the details.

It's about the close button (X) when the window is in the fullscreen mode. You should be able to close the window by going to the top right of the screen (if you have no gnome-panel at the top)

I know there are many users with the panel at the top, that's why usually no one cares about this.

But that's why I'm using Silicon metacity theme right now. That's one of those theme respecting this.

I will check if I can do the modification to your theme and send you the mod back.

Are you using the latest Metacity? I think this problem was fixed a couple of major versions ago. I actually checked this before posting the theme.

If you can't upgrade, I can implement a hack that fixes it. But if you upgrade Metacity you'll have the "flick to close" function with every theme.

Amazing theme. However, I feel it could be improved with some subtle shadows - beneath the titlebar text for example - and a light source in the top left - gradients that're slightly lighter in that direction. It looks great, regardless, so I hope you keep working on it.

Thanks for the feedback, everyone.

The newest version I uploaded has a text outline instead of a shadow around the title text, as I think it fits better with Tango.

I'd prefer to keep just one version available, but if anyone wants the old version really badly, just say so, and I can upload it as a separate theme.

Could you possibly make a variation where are no left or right borders and bottom border?

Would be an interesting way to go

I don't think the style works very well without any borders. You can see for yourself pretty easily by just opening the theme file and changing the widths you mention up at the top of the file.

WOW!

This is the first metacity that has left me completly pleased. It is amazing, it really has the tango look and feel. I believe this should be the official tango theme for metacity (and I am happy that it does not use any pixmaps).

I hope to see more work from you :)
