OrionNebula
Source (link to git-repo or to original if based on someone elses unmodified work): Add the source-code for this project on opencode.net
This is my first GDM theme. I appreciate any suggestions and comments.
The ubuntu logo has been taken from the default Human ubuntu theme. And the entry box from Acemone GDM theme. Thanks to Sergio Alexandre Carnevale for that.
I could not upload a version without the Ubuntu logo, so you can follow these instructions to remove them yourself.
1.Extract the tar.gz file.
2.Open nebula.xml with any text editor.
3.Delete the four lines of code below "ubuntu logo". (You may add another logo if you want by simply replacing "ubuntu.png" with the name of your file. And copy that file into the folder.)
4.Save the file.
5.Now copy the folder to /usr/share/gdm/themes. You will need to have root access. Open up the terminal and type
sudo cp Nebula /usr/share/gdm/themes.

the changing of the distribution-logo in your file is much easier. Just open the xml-file with Texteditor
and change this line:
<normal file="ubuntu.png" alpha="1.0"/>
so that it looks this way:
<normal file="Mint.png" alpha="1.0"/>
save the file.
Then open the Ubuntu-Logo inside the extracted folder with Gimp. Replace this ubuntu-Logo with a
suitable Mint-Logo. For example from here:
http://jernau.deviantart.com/art/Linux-Mint-Logos-81269214
Download this file and extract it.
Replace the ubuntu-Logo, which you opened with Gimp with this one. Add a nice Mint-orb.
Export this new Mint-Logo to the extracted NebulaGDM-folder.
Close the folder and recompress it with a new file name.
Then install it and enjoy.

Question: could you make this same theme with the
Mint-Logo for LinuxMint?? This would be cool.
Thank you.
