Christmas Remix
Source (link to git-repo or to original if based on someone elses unmodified work): Add the source-code for this project on opencode.net
Last year at about this time, I remember thinking how neat it would be if there was a Christmas-themed icon theme for GNOME and Xfce. I searched, and didn't find a single Christmas-themed icon set -- so I took matters into my own hands and created my own.
This theme is based on the red version of Maxo64's "Remix" icon theme. This theme consists of quite a few icons recolored red and/or green, plus I also used some clipart from OpenClipArt.org to use a few symbols that are traditionally associated with Christmas.
For most icons that consisted of a computer screen, those have been replaced with a Christmas tree (or two Christmas trees on some of the icons in the status folder). Icons that represent archive files, such as tar, deb, iso, zip, and the like, those show up as a Christmas presents of various colors. There are also icons of two snowmen for instant-messaging and system users, too.
Any way you slice it, this icon theme is sure to be quite a seasonal delight. Please let me know what you think of these. Enjoy! :-)

Made some minor changes to a few of the status icons, namely the volume settings and the IM message notification icons.

of ccourse I ccan give you details.
I did it as usual: I dropped this .tar.gz-archive into the window of the theme-manager. But right at that moment, the theme-manager closed without any error-message.
Then I thought first, perhaps is something wrong with the system. So I went to the terminal and let an update run through thoroughly. Then I tried again.
I tried it with your icons, with the SudUbuntu-icons, with the Azenis-Icons. But with all these icons, exacctly the same thing happened again.
Then I tried with other icons like the relatively new box icons, with the desert-icons, the with the nuvola-icons. But there, I found a difference: these icons work well as usual. There this thing does not happen.
So it must be something on the icons themselves. For being sure, I tried it with the simunic-red-iccons. But there, the same fault happened again.
So, ccould you please be so kind to look into this?? So I think, you only need to upgrade your icons and they will work again.
Greetings

I sincerely hope that you will be able to host it somewhere else (a less greedy hoster).

But what I did was I just waited about 5 minutes or so and I was able to download them. I'd say try it again whenever you get the chance, and it should (hopefully!) download for ya.
But you're right, that can definitely be quite a hassle. I'm at work right now, but whenever I get a chance to do so at home, I'll look around for another file hosting service for these icons. I apologize for the problem you ran into when trying to download these, but hopefully RapidShare will be more cooperative next time you try.

I gave it another try and this time it was successful indeed.
Thank you very much ;-)
