To use the icons, extract them somewhere. You can then use them by selecting the icons in a folders 'Properties' menu.

I like your icons and I downloaded them.
But I can't install them.
The Error-message says:red-icons does not seem to be a valid theme, although your package is a .tar.gz-archiv, which normally should be acepted. Because other icons in .tar.gz-archives are accepted and installed without any problem.
So could you please be so kind to check your theme for other errors than the package-type? There must be an error somewhere. But I don't know where.
So I want to add myself in the statement: make it work.
Kind regards,
Karmicbastler

These are just some icons, you can apply them at your leisure. There really is no need for strong language, right??
Why don't you package them yourself and make your pack available for others?
Until then, right-click you apps and apply your icons!
