Vector icon theme for GTK. It can be used with XFce or GNOME. (I added logos for Ubuntu. Xubuntu, Kubuntu, Debian, SUSE, Fedora, Gentoo, Arch, Zenwalk, Mndriva and Mint)
I put all files into git repository on github https://github.com/jcubic/Clarity All errors and missing icons you can submit as issues there.
There are seven predefined themes (in five color schemes)
caeruleus - blue gradient
lux_caeruleus - glossy variant
canus - grey gradient(default)
dark_canus - dark grey gradient (for light themes)
luteus - orange gradient
violaceus - violet/pink gradient
lux_violaceus - glossy variant
viridis - green gradient
albus - white solid
To install copy Clarity folder to ~/.icons
You can now use PPA to install clarity icons
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:jcubic/jcubicppa && sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install clarity-icon-theme
To change color theme of icons:
1. you need to have installed rsvg-convert (in Ubuntu 16.04 it's in librsvg2-bin package)
2. open folder ~/.icons/Clarity
3. execute change-theme script
4. select the theme and click ok
If you install from PPA repository or deb package run script as root:
$ gksu change-theme
or from terminal:
$ cd ~/.icons/Clarity
$ make (name of the theme)
If you install from PPA repository or deb package:
$ cd /usr/share/icons/Clarity
$ sudo make (name of the theme)
To change distributor logo
$ cd ~/.icons/Clarity
$ make fedora
(available logos are: arch, debian, fedora, gentoo, gnome, kubuntu, madriva, mint, suse, ubuntu, xfce, xubuntu and zenwalk)
If you install from PPA repository or deb package:
$ cd /usr/share/icons/Clarity
$ sudo make fedora
FURTHER CUSTOMIZATION
You can create your own colors for icons
by modifying or creating new template which is SVG file.
After creating new template in src/template_your_name.svg just double click change-theme and select your theme. (if you want to use make you must run configure first)
NOTE: You must have installed zenity, change-theme depend on it and also rsvg-convert for 16px icons

but as many said, the script that installs should also be configured to clean up unwanted stuff that may never be needed after install ! and yes, one suggestion... when running the script "change theme" i will also second the opinion where you can display "Success, Colorization completed" or something like that...
another main suggestion...
can users have option to use custom colors [the popup menu asks for the #HEX code 1 and #HEX code 2 [to get the blend effect... then it wil be unique [like AwOken set colorization]

I'm not sure what you mean when you say?
You can't change that text (it's also translated to your language).
What I'm trying to tell you is that the Zenity GUI still says 'Running' when it's completed and you should be able to change this so it shows it's completed? Or you're saying, there is no way to have the GUI say it's completed?
thank you

I just ran the 'change-theme' script to change a color. It showed it was running, and the progress bar was moving, but when it completed the words 'Running' were still present, it would be nice to change this to 'Completed' when it is done, otherwise it just looks like it's stuck sitting there still trying to run...
thank you

Can you please tell me if these are needed for the iconset?

Also for the sake of less clutter, you should not distribute the debian directory for those not running debian. Please make a debian iconset and a non-debian iconset to distribute. Unless this debian directory is needed for the iconset, regardless of distro...
thank you again...

Thanks for the work,, but some wrong information you are sharing, you should correct in your README.
1. copy Clarity folder to ~/.icons or /usr/share/icons as root
You do not need to be copying icons to ~/.icons as root. Root does not need to own anything in a users $HOME, unless for security reasons the end-users wants it that way.
2. double click change-theme
Clicking on 'change-theme' does not work on all distros, so it's better to tell the end-user to run the script.
thanks again...

The icons on the buttons and menus are HUGE.
Is there a way to fix this?

Quote:# sudo yum install librsvg2
and edited "~/.icons/Carity-icon-theme-path/Makefile" on line 437 adding "-o" before "file name" and changing "rsvg" command to "rsvg-convert" according to new command name of newer version.
Here the new line 437:
@find scalable/ -type f | sed -e 's/scalable\(.*\)svg/echo building 16x16\1png; rsvg -w 16 -h 16 & -o 16x16\1png/' | bash
I hope to helped someone :)
Anyways.. Nive work man ;)

I;ve been using clarity since you released it,
But just recently installed it in a fresh Ubuntu 13.04 laptop and when I click on change-theme, I only get the text editor. Nothing I normally do is working. Any ideas?
I have zenity installed. thanks
