Description:

For complete transformation:

1- Install the latest Cinnamon as follows:

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:gwendal-lebihan-dev/cinnamon-stable
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install cinnamon

2- Get Cinnamon Metro theme at http://cinnamon-spices.linuxmint.com/themes/view/188

3- Get Windows 8 cursors at http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/?content=155025

4- Get Win2-7 icon theme at http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/?content=153241

5- Get CinnaDock Plus at http://cinnamon-spices.linuxmint.com/extensions/view/23

6- Change the GDM login screen wallpaper: Install then launch Ubuntu Tweak and search for "login" in the search bar then click on "login settings" then press the unlock button in the top right by the search bar. Your bottom panel is incorrect. You should be using Dockbarx which looks far closer to Windows 7/8 than what you are doing.
