Nov. 15 changes:
Moved normal button shadow to bottom right, added highlights to top and left side. Made this change for the active
tab as well. This give a nice pressed button illusion now.
Recolored the tooltip bg
Slight slider size adjustment
Added some highlights to the menubar
Changed the progress bar color to match
slider colors.
Made a chalkboard background to include
with theme. Should be fun for you to personalize.

Otherwise I deeply appreciate your efforts.
If there is a way to remove "Old School" and it's emblem from appearing in every menu I'd appreciate learning how to do that.
Thanks again!!

is to create a folder named .themes in your home folder, see
screenshot 2, I have put a shortcut
to it, side pane of thunar my file manager. the dot before makes it a hidden file which you may see by
selecting the View tab and checking the Show Hidden Folders. There are many hidden folders that is why I create a shortcut.
I extract every theme I download here. You don't have to use
sudo, su, or open any file as root, because it is in your home folder that you have total control over. Every theme saved here is
automatically linked with /usr/share/themes and will show
in your appearance or theme changer application.
You will notice from screenshot 2, I also have a .icons and .fonts
a nice way of managing any icon themes, mouse pointer themes, and
extra fonts.
________
Next...
Everything is controlled with/by
the gtkrc file located in the
gtk-2.0 folder.
So, you would open the gtkrc file
with your text editor.
Then in the menubar select the Search tab, then select Find and
type menu-sticker in the search box.
comment out line 402 and 403.
#overlay_file="Menu/menusticker.png"
#overlay_stretch=FALSE
Finally, go back to the menubar,
select File tab, and then select
the Save line. To save the changes
to the file.
Then just restart your theme or log out and now your own your way
to making your own personal theme.
