As you might know the previous LUX GTK themes used Aurora as the main engine. This particular one is switched to Murrine engine.

1. ALT+F2
2. Open the file from YOUR HOME FOLDER /.themes/LUX_avant-garde/metacity-1/metacity-theme-1.xml
3. Change this:
<!-- WINDOW TYPES -->
<window type="normal" style_set="normal"/>
<window type="dialog" style_set="frame"/>
<window type="modal_dialog" style_set="frame"/>
<window type="menu" style_set="border"/>
<window type="utility" style_set="border"/>
<window type="border" style_set="border"/>
to this:
<!-- WINDOW TYPES -->
<window type="normal" style_set="normal"/>
<window type="dialog" style_set="normal"/>
<window type="modal_dialog" style_set="normal"/>
<window type="menu" style_set="normal"/>
<window type="utility" style_set="normal"/>
<window type="border" style_set="border"/>
4. Save and enjoy.

The only change you need to do is to change the last lines in the Metacity theme file that is set to 'border' styles and replace it with 'normal' style. They are assigned to handle dialogs. I will also put the exact code on the knowledge base tab of this theme.

Following my personal taste, I would propose glossy panels, maybe in the metacity pattern, but definitely glossy. I would prefer it to matte colors.
Other than that it is fine. Can't wait to try it.
Will it be ok with open office? We'll see. Please allow color changing (for open office's sake).

The reason of the simple panel design is to make the theme work well, under any circumstances. As soon as I add any panel design it fucks up some of theme part. Just test the Drawer application on the panel with any theme that designs the panel.

BTW if you know any workaround I am listening...
