mistEEk-murrine

Requires 0.90.3 of the murrine gtk engine (pre-packaged by most ditros I believe)
I cobbled together the "mistEEk-murrine" gtk/metacity theme to complement the mistEEk icon sets (http://charleswight.deviantart.com/). With theses themes, I hope to provide a highly versatile, attractive, and colorful (NOT BORING), look for the gnome-desktop that is both fun to use and easy on the eyes. The file, gtkrc.minimal attempts to implement the essential elements of the theme with-out ANY (almost none :)) problematic gtk matching urggg!. If you play with it, be sure to have fun! The metacity theme is a slightly modified (made @selected_bg_color the frame color) Clearbox theme generate with the utility, "clearbox", from "http://clearbox.sourceforge.net/". My thanks to the original author(s).
Please report any problems you encounter. That said, I am aware that the nice alternate-row treeview colors will not be picked up by mono based apps such as Banshee and Evolution. That's mono, not me!
As to versatility, I offer the combinations below as illustration and a starting point. These are shown in the preview images!
