I'm tired of Microsoft's FUD concerning Linux and file/web serving; especially when their paid-off research firms skew the results. I think Linux is faster and more powerful than any ol' Windows Server product! Of course the fact that it's free versus thousands of dollars doesn't hurt either! Enjoy!
