The download still results in the 'old' wallpaper, while the preview shows the new kubuntu branding.

I was about to ask you if you could explain how you had made the wallpaper. I have visited your blog and I find an excellent guide.
Thanks!

A small detail, Kubuntu now has a new logo:

haha, but it is something that has no importance.

Glad you found my blog tutorial useful.

Thanks for the link to the new logo! I was actually looking for that and just got lazy and posted the old one... perhaps later I will try a new desktop.

Here's a new logo, already SVG, with letters converted to paths, no need to trace bitmaps and no potential problems with fonts :)

But the old one was better IMHO...

Thanks for the link to the logo. I used it and updated the wallpaper. I went back to jpg and tried to up the quality as much as I could. I think the only way to get the PNG file would be to host it elsewhere... I tried saving one of the screenshots as the svg but don't know if that worked.

... but could I ask you to upload it in PNG and/or SVG also? It would look better in those formats. JPEG degrades quality of vector images significantly.

I just uploaded it as SVG... not sure how that works. Can I upload more than one file type? I can't figure out how to do that. Also; the PNG file is way too big to be uploaded....

Great, thanks!

BTW, SVG seems to look different in various applications (notably Inkscape, Firefox and KDE built-in viewer), so it's really better to publish raster images. Sorry for giving a silly advice!

On uploading multiple files in different formats for a single content entry: sorry again, I don't know how, because I haven't uploaded anything here yet. But it's certainly possible, I've seen content with links to multiple files in mixed formats on a single page.
