I think this is a wallpaper set to be used for the Desktop Pager. In KDE you can assign different wallpapers for different desktops; so for desktop one you use the wallpaper with the 1 on it. :o)

They are desktop wallpapers for Fedora Core Testing, Fedora Core 2, Fedora Core 3, and Fedora Core 4. Different numbers for different versions. Just like (for example) if someone released a set of wallpapers for the all different versions of Ubuntu they would be called Warty, Hoary, and Breezy.

Why not? There are (so far) 4 releases of Fedora Core and not everyone is using FC4.
