Well, I not sure why you expected an Alpha or Beta release to be stable???? Sounds like you got what your were warned about before both downloading and installing 12.04 ...

it was a beta and it was working fine with some rare pop ups (i expected as i had learnt from 11.10 beta !)... i have a habit of exploring into the unknown and in that process, it was my mistake when i found out that i had issued a command that was irreversible ! it happens and i am used to facing these.... well, thats what keeps us going isnt it ! ? (i have an arch downloaded too but i was a bit impatient to configure the resolution and X... so i ventured into lisa !

I'm really sorry to know that you haved problems with your 12.04, but I'm happy that you install Linux Mint Lisa. I use Linux Mint since 3 years and and I'm very glad with the evolution of this OS. You are right, the Mint user grow day by day. All of the Linux Distro have good things to offer but it's up to us to choose the OS with which we are most comfortable :)

mint users are growing day by day (i started using it since last few days after my 12.04 lts crashed miserably !. instead of a re-install of 12.04, i opted for lisa !) and i knew that it was not a mistake and i love this mint thoroughly !
