My suggestions:
1) Make a blue version. I love blue. Yeah, this is personal preference. Yeah, you can do the hue effect thing in the Wallpaper dialog, but it puts a choppy gradient coloring to it.
2) Make the left side square fade, as right now the lines make it difficult to make out icons and icon text.
3) Also make the left side a little more the color of the right side. Especially with the dark squares, it's too busy and you can't make out icons.

Many thanks! I've tried to do my best to make the wallpaper fit your suggestions but as my english is crappy I may have misunderstood something...let me know! Oh, I've uploaded a blue version of the wallpaper too!
