Debian GNU/Linux: Plowing the Fields of Freedom

This is a commemorative background I made, to celebrate that I finally got my GNU/Linux box up, running and kicking with Debian Sarge (which later I upgraded do Sid).

You can get the bakground in PNG format through the screenshots provided. The file attached for download is a TAR.GZ with the SVG source file, which can be edited via Inkscape (http://inkscape.org).

The image was originally a poster, which can be obtained for print from the SVG file (advice: export it to PostScript and convert to PDF).

I really love the symbolism and simplicity in this wallpaper (or poster). I think it illustrates what the Free Software idea is really all about. The uphill struggle in the light of a beautiful sunset.

This is really remarkable.
