####### CUSTOMIZE THIS IF YOU WANT
The item you want to change is
class "GtkMenuBar*"
2. browse to the folder where you installed the theme .../LiNsta2/gtk-2.0/Menu-Menubar
In this folder you will find all the backgrounds available to you.
Pick the one you want.
3.Lets say you like menubar-green-blue.png. In the gtkrc file change the option
style "menubar-blue-deep"
to
style "menubar-green-blue"
4. Reload the theme
Let me know if you still need help

In fact, I'll even forgive you for the XMMS part
It's too bad XMMS users haven't discovered GTK2 and therefore BMP/BMPx or Audacious.
Or better yet, audio apps that don't pretend to be miniature toy stereo amplifiers that only people with 20/20 eyseight can use.
You know like um... Muine, Rhythmbox, Banshee, Listen, QuodLibet..
