KDE-Image-Viewer
Various KDE 1.-4. Improvements
Source (link to git-repo or to original if based on someone elses unmodified work): Add the source-code for this project on opencode.net
Hi!
While I was reading the new article "Interviews on KPDF Usability Work" at http://dot.kde.org, I became in mind, that I miss a very simple and easy to handle image viewer for KDE (similar to the default image viewer of Mic....t Win...s)
There are already a lot available, but many of them are "full featured" (like Gwenview, Kimdaba...), others like Kuickviw don't satisfy my wishes.
I created a bad and simple mockup that display at least what I am thinking about.
I am not a Coder, so please, if anybody out there in the whole wide world likes to help me realising this project I'd realy aprecciate!
Please have a look at the Mockup and give some suggestions!
Have a nice day :-D

KSquirrel has all features which you need like 'fit width', 'fit height', 'fit window', 'zoom 100%', etc. But now it has problems with huge images, which cann't be located in memory. It will be fixed in 0.6.0-final :)

Settings -> Configure Kuickshow -> Modifications -> "Shrink image to screen size if larger"
Other key than Page-down/up:
Settings -> Configure Kuickshow -> Viewer Shortcuts
Btw.: In Gwenview you can use +left-mouse to zoom in, +right-mouse to zoom out and middle-mouse to zoom "fit to window".
