Description:

This is a fully transparent theme for fans of extreme transparency for usage with dark, homogeneous wallpapers. In other cases, it won't work too well. It is basically slightly modified Manjaro's Maia Desktop Theme under GPL 3 license (https://gitlab.manjaro.org/artwork/themes/maia/blob/b61312cc80cb9d12b0d8a55b3e61668eb6b77d2d/LICENSE), but with the completely transparent panel and menus (except dashboard menu, which doesn't follow theme background settings). Version 4 contains media icon fix for Plasma 5.13 and higher.

To install:
- unpack
- move/copy folder to: ~/.local/share/plasma/desktoptheme or /usr/share/plasma/desktoptheme/

Note: When first applying this theme it's quite common that the panel border will be displayed as a temporary remnant. It will go away after rebooting plasmashell process or plasma session. Also, don't forget to turn off the blur effect in desktop effects!

I. Icons on task panel now show 7 possible status indicators:

1) Program window is not turned off - no indication on a panel.
2) Program window is opening - launching animation.
3) Program window is opened and active/on top - icon has emerald, translucent, square background.
4) Program windows is opened but inactive/in background (behind other windows) - icon has gray, translucent, square background.
5) Program windows is minimized - icon has horizontal stripe underneath.
6) Program has two or more windows opened - icon has additional, round indication +2.
7) File or directory is being copied or moved - animation of progress in a form of stronger, emerald progress bar on a icon of a used program (like Dolphin, Krusader, etc.)

II. Fixed lack of specified folder name.

III. Name of the folder as well as data in metadata.desktop file where improved and updated.

I. Desktop panel now have no borders.

That gray line is not part of the theme, this is some kind of bug.

Did you try killing plasmashell and loading it again? Usually, I find plasmashell in ksysguard and after getting rid of it I hit "alt+space" and type plasmashell, enter. Often a line artifact is visible after applying theme for the first time so after rellogging/rebooting or relaunching plasmashell it fixes itself.

If that doesn't work, I'll try to launch open suse in virtualbox and see if the issue can be replicated there. Do you use Leap of Thumbleweed?

I will try your recommendation. (If it serves as something when I place it on top of the panel, that gray rectangle does not appear only when it is on the bottom). I am using the latest version of openSUSE tumbleweed.

Well, I'm left with the urge to know, I've just deleted my .cache and .kde. At the moment everything is perfect. I'm sorry to have bothered you since it was definitely something of mine (maybe something that has been left in cache of some previous topic).

I tried it on Thumbleweed in virtualbox and I cannot recreate the issue. It works as intended, although I realized now how strange Manjaro icon looks on Open Suse OS ;) , maybe I introduce more general icon in the feature. Of course, I had to close plasmashell and start it anew to get rid or shadow and panel edge. Anyway, here is the screen (I changed for the brighter wallpaper then one that comes by default):

This is a wonderful theme, exactly what I was looking for.

Will you work towards making this a Look-And-Feel pack? I'd love to have window decorations in this style, to really tie it all together.

Hopefully I can support this theme a couple months from now :)

Plasma 5.9 is still not available on Manjaro - my main system. I hope it will show up in incoming weeks. However from what I heard, despite introducing general Look-And-Feel packs, there is still no gui way to compose them together and import to a kde store. I could do it manually but so far I have no way to check it out how it all works. I suspect it will take months till 5.9 matures and I will figure out how to do it.

The second thing is, there is so many ways the desktop can be set so I'm not sure if my pre-defined look will make sense for someone. For me, such packs are just a quick way to set most things, but you still need to adjust panel and other things manually.

At the moment if you want semi-transparent title bars, use Freeze titlebar theme. There are some fully transparent ones but I found out they are not usable on the long run. Semi-transparent is a compromise and it can work, although it won't be liked by many. Just imagine few maxed out windows. All title bars will be overlapping on each other making it not look good. I still use such setting, but it's an acquired taste and other settings like wallpaper won't help with it. As to Konsole, you need to tweak profile settings for a semi-transparent look - this one works well and gives awesome feel :).

To sum it up, if there will be look and feel pack, it's not coming soon, but will there be one, I am not sure. Too early to tell.

Ah I appreciate the Freeze Tip, I was using another one that did not work as well as Freeze does with the rest of the theme. I had already set up Konsole to fit better :)

If you need testing or help in any way, I'd love to be able to pitch in as I can. I guess maybe a look-and-feel pack would be nice one day, but I know I'd love to really tie it together with Window Decorations xD

If you would like to test fully transparent title bar, check Auro-G. It's a transparency overkill ;P. Even I cannot use it.

nice theme . but it is difficult to read text(month name) on calendar widget. please make it white or black .

This is deliberately an extreme transparent theme and I like to keep it that way. This means, it will only work well with dark, homogeneous wallpapers as showed in screen above. When using different wallpapers it is advised to switch to Maia or other semi-transparent themes that do have background, which makes easier to read text.
