Description:

just another metalic look for kde,
based on phase liquid and baghira.

i would be most thankfull for distro's rpm.

if you are a mandriva user you can download it and install it from rpmdrake (install,remove & update software)

I can't find the developer so I decided to stop hosting it. And believe me I sent him about 10 mails during the past two weeks and about 40 ones in the past two months but still didn't receive no reply. That's all, I'm also sad about it :(

Hi first let me say this is one hell of a theme. No for the bad part about it

I installed the theme and everthing went ok until i tried to open GIMP 2 and firefox 1.0.4. When I try they both crash. Well firefox doen't even start. What can I do to fix this. I realy like this theme and would love to use it. thanks for any help in this matter

one problem i am having is...

things like menus, when i open up kmenu

it looks great with the metal4kde theme ;)

BUT... when i go up and down the menu, the blue highlights stay... like when you move the mouse over, and it highlights,when you move it off, it stays high lighted... and when you go up and down the whole menu, it is blue. not metally.

i dont know if this is with kde, the theme or my settings, but i will play more and let you know what is going on.

just fyi...

i downloaded the suse src rpm listed above, thanks for the link. i installed the source rpm, worked fine.

it installed the tar.gz...

then i just tar xvzf and then compile.

worked fine under fedora core 3 with kde 3.3

great looking skin, has some funnynesses here and there, but im not sure if thats the programs or the skin.

maybe i will try to make an rpm, never done it before, but who knows?

Just download the SRC package.. http://ftp4.gwdg.de/pub/linux/misc/suser-guru/rpm/packages//Themes-KDE3/metal4kde/src/metal4kde-0.2-1.guru.suse93.kde34.src.rpm .. extract Metal4kde-0.2.tar.gz ... tar zxvf it.. configure.. make.. make install.. easy.
