sorry if the question is stupid, but... i have installed theme from sources, no errors and stuff, and i just don't know how to enable it:), i can't find it in control center.
theme is great and i would really love to have it.

the style should be om the control center, but if u cant find him u can run achack as fallow:

"konqueror --style metal"
infact u can dob it with any application,hope it help's.

did you try to fallow the instructions on the web site? If you already did, what linux distribution do you use?

I have tried to install with rpms and source to no avail. I'm using fedora core 3 and all the install seems to go OK, but when i go into control center -> appearance and themes -> theme manager, is something supposed to come up in there or am i supposed to activate it another way?

also, in addition to this, when running ./configure --prefix=`kde-config--prefix`

where the `s are backticks, i get

bash: kde-config--prefix: command not found

when i use regular apostrophies (') i get

configure: error: expected an absolute directory name for --prefix: kde-config--prefix

metal correctly works on Fedora Core 3 with KDE 3.3.1! Just fallow the instructions provided on the download page.

looks like he is complaining about 2 different types of qt 3.3 and 3.2.3
i know i built it on 3.3 so chack yours,
other than that maybe u can build the ui file yourself like this:
"uic ./styledialog.ui > styledialog.h"
"uic -impl ./styledialog.h ./styledialog.ui >styledialog.cpp"

and afterwards continue compiling.

please let me know how it works.
