Description:

This is a look-a-like bar of windows up and coming longhorn 64 bit system. It is a skin for the TNT bar and I got the idea from winbar, so I give credit to both creators. I have only tested this on a 800x600 screen but it should work on everything. Enjoy

Don't use Plex! That theme stinks. Make a mockup of the Aero taskbar instead.

Take it easy now guys!! This kinda thing is good when you want to trick the gf or mom to try out linux. It is also good for those users who are just starting to use linux. I give it two thumbs up. (And for all those who will say that there gf/mom already uses Linux, show me were she posted on KDE-LOOK)

Not all Linux users like winstyle, at least not me :) I prefer Linux Bar and applets more than win taskbar.

However, nice one.

All the Windows users hate the Windows interface after a few months, so they make wincustomize.com and such. People pay to make Windows look different. Meanwhile, Linux users try to make their GUI look like Windows.

What is the deal, if you don't like something no one is forcing you to download / install it....This guy spent time and energy on this project.....If someone wants to make there copy of linux look like windows then so be it...its about choice

Ok I just made the theme for fun... I don't really even use it, but it's beyond me why linux me cry about windows and mac os, linux is a great os but it's far from prefect (i.e. ANYTHING inolving 3-D). Personally I prefer the defualt kde style, but no every one does

If you are talking about professional 3D Linux is far better than Windows.

If you are talking about Gaming with DirectX you are probably right.

But have a look on a Q3A Benchmark..

This blew me away...

Most Linux users want any OS that doesn't operate or act like Windows. But to have it look like it...

You might be the first to use the longhorn winbar, however this is not original...
you could have (at least) had the penguin in it...

I have been a visitor of this site for approx 2years and a member for 30 seconds, just to give my very first "Bad" vote and to comment on this..

Hey we use Linux not to use windows and to NOT be remindet of that damn crazy monopolist!!!

If you want to do somehing good to Linux don't copy - be original.

Nice work! I find it amusing to screw with a co-worker who is a diehard Mac user by imitating his OsX box down to the last detail. Then spout off on how its entirely free...and how much did you pay for that mac? $4000?

I have a friend at M$ who would probably find this "Winbar" equally irritating!

I got linux to not use windows,to see the longhorn bar everyday defeats the purpose :P but good job,its pretty nice.
