Description:

A karamba app to keep track of your folding at home progress. This theme was written to match cynapses' superb system monitoring theme (http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=11405), but looks just fine apart from it.

Folding@Home (http://www.stanford.edu/group/pandegroup/folding/)is a distributed computing project out of Stanford which studies protein folding, a complicated and important part of medicine.

I really like your theme. I added it to system monitor theme so it is all in one and it looks great. I do have a request though. There is a site:
http://vspx27.stanford.edu/psummary.html
that has all of the credits for folding, is there a way we can grep it from the web page. Just a little bit more info.

Thanks again

I modified this theme slightly so it can monitor several folding clients at once. Multiple clients are commented out by default, but instructions are provided. It should work to monitor other clients on a LAN provided the directories are accessible with samba or nfs.

Two problems- In KDFE 3.2 with superkaramba, there's a bug where it will always be on top. This seems to affect all themes for superkaramba and also regular karamba in some distros. It is not specific to this theme.

The other problem is that it does not seem to update correctly. You have to right-click it and manually update the information.

You are correct. If you are using kde 3.2, you will likely experience some funkiness with any theme. This problem (and the solution) is well documented: In the src directory of the superkaramba sourcecode, comment out the line in karamba.cpp which reads:
KWin::setType(winId(), NET::Dock);
by changing it to:
// KWin::setType(winId(), NET::Dock);
A compile afterwards will reward you with superkaramba which now plays well with others.

Correction, it does update itself, just not in a timely manner.

Why is this rated down? It is well made, and fits straight into my desktop. It interfaces well with the files it is meant to. Well done!
