This theme displays the news from the Slashdot RSS feed.
When you hover the mouse over the news item you see its summary (2nd screenshot).
Clicking on the item opens it in your browser, of course :)
-- Important:
Slashdot requests anyone using their RSS feed to avoid "hammering" with constant reloads, so I respected this on my script.
Of course you can reload your theme every few minutes manually, or edit the script, but be careful because /. punishes any "abuser" with a 72h ban!!

Version 0.3:
- Improved the performance (reduced the CPU load a lot).
- I joined both versions (with and without the black border) in one zipped file, just check readme.txt to see how to switch it.
Version 0.2:
- Jason Edson kindly made an alternative background, without the black borders on the left (check out the 3rd screenshot). It's available for download now. Tx a lot Jason :)
Version 0.1.1:
- fixed a small alignment problem in the background images
- reduced the refresh delay from 30 to 15 minutes, seems safe enough according to my experience.

Could not find platform independent libraries
Could not find platform dependent libraries
Consider setting $PYTHONHOME to [:]
'import site' failed; use -v for traceback
I ran the command
export PATH='path to python libs' and the error went. However I still got the import site problem, and no RSS feed.

I have changed my default web browser for KDE to mozilla. However, whenever I click on a news item, it opens a Konqueror browser window (doesn't display any content) and a Mozilla window, which does display the content. How can I prevent it from opening a Konqueror window once a click on a news item?
