eler_pic is a superkaramba theme that gets the newest "everybody loves eric raymond" strip from the website and shows it on the desktop.

i choose lynx, because i had to find some key words in the html code, so lynx can show the code etc.
so i think it´s a good way to handle it, but i will try out to use wget to test it.

Hmmm, you need to download the page before, because, the pictures have diffrent numbers and cases, everytime new.
So why should use wget if lynx does it at all ?

Why does your work depend on lynx? What about wget? I haven't checked the code, but it seems it is getting one picture, so wget would serve for it good. Also allmost every modern unix-like system has got wget, but a few are having lynx as it, i would say "deprecated".
