Description:

This is my first Gnome icon theme. It's based on mattahan's great icon set, GANT.
I tried to fit in as much as possible, hunting down all of mattahans' releases and combining them into one.

Some icons might be missing for one of two reasons. They may not exist, as big as the GANT set is
some icons are still lacking. Another reason is that I might have overlooked it. If the reason an icon is
missing is due to me, please let me know.

I would like to thank mattahan for his permission.

I hope that you will like this theme as much as I do.

on his machine the c and cpp icons did not work, so I added:

gnome-mime-text-x-chdr
gnome-mime-text-x-csrc

------

added throbber/spinner for nautilus
added many device icons

these, I simply don't have icons for:

gnome-dev-flashdisk
gnome-dev-flashkey
gnome-dev-media-cf
gnome-dev-media-ms
gnome-dev-media-sdmmc

I dont know, I just know that when I plug my external DVD-R, the icon that appears is the default one....

I hope that you can fix that..

I was wondering what font you are using in those screenshots, and with what options?
Icons are really great too!

I used the MS font pack. In this shoot I think I had Tahoma and Verdana. Tahoma is really nice.

These icons look really nice, I think I'll use these in place of Bluecurve from now on!
Just one quick question, where can I find the wallpaper shown in the second screenshot?

very nice. hmm on ubuntu though, the gimp icon doesn't get replaced in the menu. but that is like the ONLY icon i cant find that is not changed.

These icons are great. however they all seem to touch the top edge of everything. While leaving too much room on the shadow. they look perfect on the desktop. but drag them onto a gnome toolbar, and they touch the top, yet have ample room at the bottom. a mild annoyance for such an otherwise perfect set of icons.

hum thats weird! could be the setting in your gtkrc file for your theme.

mine looks like this:

gtk-icon-sizes = "panel-menu=24,24:gtk-menu=16,16:panel=24,24:gtk-large-toolbar=24,24:gtk-small-toolbar=24,24"

go to /home/you/.themes/yourtheme/gtk/gtkrc

as to the gimp icon... as lokheed said its impossible to set that since apperantly the thing is hard coded or something

tell me how it goes with the gtk stuff... there is a readme in the gargantuan folder too

not impossible to set, but impossible to make it theme specific.

If you want to change it you need to edit the gimp-remote.desktop file in /usr/share/applications and point the icon to whatever you like. If you remove the path and simply put something like

icon=gimp.png

Then it will pull it from the theme (providing there is a gimp.png located somewhere in the icon set).

i meant more along the lines of... impossible for me to do something in the theme, short of making some script or whatever that edits the file you mentioned

Wow this is great. It contains SO many icons so I can enjoy a unified theme around the computer. Thank you SO much! Awesome work.

Thats because they are wrong. I posted this before but I HATE this posting system on these forums so it no doubt got lost...

Anyway its fixed so its all moot at this point.
