Description:

This is my first Gnome icon theme. It's based on mattahan's great icon set, GANT.
I tried to fit in as much as possible, hunting down all of mattahans' releases and combining them into one.

Some icons might be missing for one of two reasons. They may not exist, as big as the GANT set is
some icons are still lacking. Another reason is that I might have overlooked it. If the reason an icon is
missing is due to me, please let me know.

I would like to thank mattahan for his permission.

I hope that you will like this theme as much as I do.

on his machine the c and cpp icons did not work, so I added:

gnome-mime-text-x-chdr
gnome-mime-text-x-csrc

added throbber/spinner for nautilus
added many device icons

these, I simply don't have icons for:

gnome-dev-flashkey
gnome-dev-media-cf
gnome-dev-media-ms
gnome-dev-media-sdmmc
gnome-dev-media-sm

So thunderbird and bmp are replaced it seems. They just needed to be "refreshed" in my gnome.

I have another request of tsclient.png as well.

Great great work pullin all this together!

I don't think tsclient.png is skinned. .glade files are now, and .bak are not

sometimes it helps to logout and back in....

look in gargantuan/48x48/apps/tsclient.png to see if you have it....

about the back files.... i have no clue what the mime name for that is can u help me out?

hum... i did put this in ... its called
gnome-mime-application-x-backup

right?

its not showing up on my side either... but then again i also added icons for the darn "system tools" menu and some never show up...sigh

I lied... TSClient has the icon for the program, but my .desktop files with /usr/share/pixmaps/tsclient.png set didnt' change to reflect the theme for some reason.

As for the MIME type of .bak, I have no idea. ;)

How about a thunderbird icon & Beep Media Player icon? Those are the only two launchers on my desktop that aren't skinned.

Also, how about .glade & .bak filetypes?

added those too....I am not sure if the .bak one works.... if not tell me the correct name for the mime

Love the theme... one of the most complete icon replacement sets out there. Gnant is definitely one of my favorites.

Two icons that don't work, at least in Ubuntu:
1) Gedit uses "apps/text-editor.png"
2) Screenshot uses "apps/applets-screenshooter.png"

Rename from gargantuan_tar.bz2 to gargantuan.tar.bz2

Deviantart renamed the file, there is nothing i could have done about it.

just change it back. XD

there isn't one
It allows some stock icons to work, that in the past, did not work in icon themes.

SEE: gPerfection2, d3a or Edge for example

hum, ok where can i find info on whats better to do? i've looked into other themes but a lot of them do their own thing so to speak.

also finding out the names for the icons is a PITA.

so looks like i need some help in that area

I don't have any info. I got the names from clearlooks-devel for the gtk navagation icons. It's just a matter of giving an arrow the rt name and you can follow that from one of the 3 themes I mentioned above. Or, email me the ones you want to use and I'll name them and send them back to ya.

well i wanted to edit the back and next icons in Nautilus bc they were not changeing

for example gtk-go-next did nothing
