A small update! I hope you guys (and girls) like it!

This icon set will be FreeDesktop.org’s Icon Theme Specification and Icon Naming Specification compliant. And also, as far as i know, will be the first icon set introduing an easy way to recolor the icons by doing all the lights and shadows in different and locked layers (which can be unlocked, of course) and leaving unlocked only the layers that contain the plain colors, in most cases gradients won’t be used.

*0.1.2 - Fixed a stupid bug. An arrow that should be pointing down was pointing to the left.

Please, please do not judge this icon set for its completeness, this is a work in progress which still has a long way to go. For this icon set. I've decided not to produce as many icons as I can, instead I want to produce a really high quality theme, which will take a lot of time and effort.

*added a couple new icons, such as the desktop and some folders.

The theme looks great man, but I found that it slowsdown GNOME.

It would be cool to see a full PNG version, PNG rendering in GNOME is a *LOT* faster than SVG.

Yup, that's exactly the plan :). But until I'm satisfied with it I'll keep the SVGs around :)... Besides, I don't have all my scripts to automate the process (I left them in my main workstation -- that means, I'm not home now, hehe)

Very nice indeed. I,too,would like to see larger icons, and also, I'd prefer a smaller and thinner base for the trash can. But,hey,that's just me! :)

Almost redundant, in light of the rating and the other comments, to say that this is an excellent icon theme.

I have noticed, however, that some of the newer icons lack contrast,

a) within the picture,
b) against a light background.

For example: The mail, CD, and trashcan icons. This is what the Gnome Panel with the trashcan applet looks like:

Rather difficult to make that out as a trashcan :O

24x24 is too small for resolution I use here.

Hmm... I don't know... Lordcrow usually makes ports of Dropline Neu, maybe he can make a port for this one. I haven't had much time to update this icon set, but I have some new devices that I intend to post once I finish with some other comercial icons :)

Good to hear that :) ... Downloads should be working now, I moved to another server recently and I'm sure some of you weren't able to download the icon set.
BTW, those who are voting these icons as "bad", I'd like to hear why they do so, maybe I can improve a little bit. And don't come with "I don't like them" as an answer, there must be something specific about what you do not like and why.

For those of you that may get corrupted downloads: My unresponsive and unreliable web hosting service provider hasn't gave me any good answers as to why these bad downloads happen. I'm starting to move to another hosting service provider, so if you find the download to be broken then don't worry, it might be becouse of the moving. If the broken link persists for a couple days, then drop me a note or post a comment :)

yes arrows are better but don't convince me to much... the only thing to do is wait until the iconset will be more complete and then eventually I can suggest something for this arrows if my opinion hasn't changed.
The main problem is that this icon set is too similar to tango ones... and the arrows appear different from the style.
I repeat the only chance is to wait a more complete version (So you can ignore this suggestion and continue focusing to other icons).

Keep it up I think that the idea of a quality iconset is excellent!

cimi, have you tried them? becouse they don't look so out of context to me. Maybe trying and seeing the arrows at their actual size (24x24) might improve :)

Yes I have it installed... It's only my opinion... it is based on my taste!
if you have tried my gtk theme such as candido-based themes or gray (or just my screenshots) you can suggest that I have particulary taste, probably different from other users (i.e. kde users that love colored and plastic themes).
It's just a question of tastes... ;)

Continue the work ignore me... ;)
