Description:

a mockup of a quake style pidgin im window. it is supposed to come down on a keystroke. or maybe automatically. it stays on top.

check in CCM:
Window rules plugin to set it on top
Place window plugin to place it fix
Window decorator plugin to remove decoration
... now that I think about it.. the keybinding can't be done, so if you have a window switcher you can minimize/reset the pidigin window

I managed to do it with Compiz and wmctrl

CCSM > Window Rules > Always on top: class=Pidgin

CCSM > Place Windows > Fixed positioning > class=Pidgin and the coordinates you want.

Now create a launcher in the panel, with the following command: wmctrl -x -r Pidgin -b toggle, shaded .

The only problem is that it only works with one Pidgin window open. If there are more, it will pick one randomly.s
