Description:

I was inspired on iGoogle's themes operation: It changes along the day.

I have pictures of the same place at different moments of the day.
So I made this script to dynamically change the wallpaper and its pretty cool seeing your desktop getting darker like day outside.

Short Instructions (detailed in script):
- extract files in a folder and read README file
- choose your pictures
- choose the hours to change the wp
- modify the script at your will
- add the script to start at log in
- add a crontab line
- enjoy

I do believe there is some support for dynamic wallpapers in Fedora 8. The default wallpaper gets darker towards the evening..

not sure how its done but perhaps something to look into

It's true... but this works for Gnome...
If you don't have Fedora 8 you can use this script.

(Also I made another script for KDE, look and kde-look.org)
thanks for you comment

Added a detailed README file, please download again and read the instructions

about cron -> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cron#crontab_syntax

Also the README contains instruction about setting crontab, and how the line should to be (you should modify the command parameter according where you install the script)

If you can't install properly, please send me a message.
Thanks!!

OMG! I was just thinking about this the other day when I woke up and I had the most beautiful them overlooking the beach with a sunset for morning.
secifically this one

It inspired me. Then in the night time, I love the brown wallpaper theme I use which is this one.

Thanks! I'm glad you like it.
I had 6 pictures from Las Vegas, every frame at different hour, so my desktop just turns on with Vegas' lights.

Also at my job I have the same brown pic you have, but I changed the colour, so It's turns from brown to dark blue
