Uhm looking at the screenshot ,it looks more like a bootsplash then the kde splash screen.

WTF is your problem with apple, huh?
_I_ am sick of people like you talkin bullshit on the comments about this site ain't a apple-site. Yeah well who cares? Whats wrong with making an apple theme and posting it here? This is a theme resource center, _any_ theme resource. Don't have to be linux, kde or whatever you suggest.

i agree..there is simply too much apple stuff floating around....although apple is UNIX at the core, I think that one or two apple splashes on here is enough..then people could modify it to fit their tastes, because different people like the different styles. However, some people may want an apple-like desktop...as they might on windows, so maybe we should stay open-minded im not sure
Maybe if it added another category for "topic" then u cud browse by topic and skip all the apple crap, and other stuff like porn, bible bashing etc

Good idea, it just makes me mad when people, some obviously talented spend time improving other OS's themes while they could be helping develop our own unique one. Maybe a style so great that Windows and OSX would be copying us, not the other way around. I guess Keramik was a good start, even though that theme makes me puke too.

I'm not going to waste my time installing this and stopping KDE (only to start everything again) when I don't even know what it looks like

Screenshots, perhaps, would be a good idea.

Yeah, you can also extract them to ~/.kde/share/apps/ksplash/pics and run
ksplash --test
to see it in action.

You dont have to restart KDE to se what it looks like.. just download it and look at the pics..
if it is so painful to restart kde, just place the pics where they shuld be, and you will have a new splash, when you restart..
what to complain about.. it didnt take more than a few seconds to download and look at the pics with my 56k modem.
