Hi,

This is just anothe Kontact-splash.
It's made with the gimp.

The icons are taken from the Icosx-Theme.

I recognized that tkdesign made a splash-screen which is pretty similar with this one. I posted this splash screen after him but this was not a copy of his one.

Please post many comments and suggestions.

Sorry for my poor English, I'm German.

sorry i write too comments ; )
i made my steelwave icons just for the splash-screen but i see many people like them, if you want i can send you the icons i made for that splash-screen... i plan to make this icon style available on may or june.

if you want to improve this splash-screen, try to add some shadows to te text or the other images in it.

your work with gimp is very beautiful congratulations!

Thanks for all the comments and suggestions.
I tried to make something new but I didn't know you're working on a similiar splash.
Also, I don't think I'll win this contest (I'm not a professional designer like you and I haven't got the chance to win against professionals ;).
Oh and I'm very looking forward to your steelwave icons :).

the icons will be ready in june :-( i have a lot of work to do to make it a real icons style. if you want to contribute write to my e-mail address. i will be happy to work with you.

Thanks I'm also pleased, but I must say I'm not a professional or something like this in case of design and so on. I don't know if I would be a useful help for you.
And another question:
Do you make the icons with gimp?

your wallpapers are really good so i think that we can make really good icons. i use GIMP 1.3. i just opened my web design studio on http://www.tkdesign-studio.com and if you want to contribute in open source projects just send me an e-mail, it's better than comments, because comments contain suggestions on an artwork and i think this comment it's not releated to clean_kontact :-)
i will be happy to work with you.
