Description:

A very plain and basic KDE splash.

The splash screen is transparent and lets see through on the desktop background.

To install, simply put splash_top.png into the appropriate ~/.kde/share/apps/ksplash/... directory (depending on your KDE version it's named different, but you'll find it).

Now there is the svg file (use it with inkscape). So you can make your own splashes (e. g. replace the KDE gear with something else).

but I dont get the download, I only get the splash_top.png part...

download link is not broken, splash_top.png is all you need :)

Hello!)))
You must just click the little(preview)
than you can see what you wish.
I thin we must no use system or oter
paintings, icons... We have to make original jobs.
Good Luck!
P.S. But download is broken.(

Hi, the download works and is all you need. Why should we not use the official KDE logo for a KDE splash screen? Consistency is imho very important to create a unified, professional, sleek look. Of course, the credits for the original KDE artwork go to Everaldo (who will, btw, design the upcoming Linspire 5 desktop interface).
