it may sound noob, but how do you actually set this wallpaper for nautilus?

Easy peasy

Open up nautilus , open up "Edit" in the toolbar, scroll down to "Backgrounds & Emblems ", Then "Add a new pattern" and open the image you need, after you've done it , drag n drop the image in the nautilus background window.

Strange... MacApper http://macapper.com/ has exactly the same background, with exactly the same line directions and spacings... maybe a bit lighter

Yep, it looks similar to mine, but really i made it by using a GIMP tutorial for userbars, infact that isn't very hard to make :)
