Why don't we use beryl or compiz for commons applications such as OOo ?

How much of that picture is a mockup? Or better: What GTK theme are you using there?

I'm using Carbonit GTK theme and Buttonless Emerald theme.

What dock is used on this screen ?
it seems integrated into the gnome panel, I'm interested :)

I think it's Kiba. He just put a seperator there to make it look like it's part of the panel.
