Description:

Burg-manager is an intuitive interface that simplify installation and configuration of burg bootloader. Burg-manager allows to install many beautiful themes from a big gallery.
Latest release allows to:
-install Burg, Burg-themes and a Burg emulator
-set timeout
-set your favourite theme
-set the screen resolution
-add new themes by choosing them among the ones you can find on this site
-remove Burg
-restore Grub2
-setting the default operating sistem
-setting advanced parameters
-add menuentry to boot some iso directly using burg

If you are able to boot other isos using burg / grub2 you can suggest it passing correct parameters so we can add it to burg-manager.

before to install burg-manager you have to install buc from repository:

repo 32bit: deb http://buc.billera.eu/ubuntu/ binary/

repo 64bit: deb http://buc.billera.eu/ubuntu64/ binary/

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install buc

Now you can install burg-manager.

First of all i want to congratulate you on the great functionality this application has to offer! Well done.

On the other hand, the GUI needs some tweaking to make it match the user theme, so it looks better.

Or is that just my thought?

Due to some reason I can't access dropbox directly, but I downloaded themes through proxy, now they are in a local folder. How can I install them through Burg Manager?

You have to extract themes into /boot/burg/themes/
and then you have to execute:
sudo update-burg

Though you should add buc to the deb installer? so dependencies are met. Also you should let burg save settings such as the language and stuff... and if i can say one more thing the actual logo is a bit loud :o might need a little polishing..

I installed buc and then burg-manager but when I try to run it, it ask for root password which I type in but then it doesn't start, if I run it in a terminal I get the following:

/usr/local/bin/buc: 12: /usr/local/buc//buc: not found

What can I do to fix this?

In "Advenced Parameters" when you click "Enable" next to "GRUB_DISABLE_RECOVERY_LINUX" clears the file /etc/default/burg.

It really is. The only problem I found so far is that the themes I installed don't show up in the burg menu. Am I missing something or is there indeed a problem with that?

when you install a new theme you have to execute "sudo update-burg" from terminal if you want that this new theme can be selected from burg-emu.
From next burg-manager version we will add a button to update installed themes list.
