Using gui:
-Open up the directory you downloaded it to (usually Desktop)
-Right click file > Extract here
-Right click the resulting folder (OnionHead) > cut
-Open up Nautilus > Ctrl L > type in ~/.purple/smileys > hit enter > On the toolbar > Edit > Paste

Then go to your Pidgin Buddy List > Tools > Preferences > Smiley Themes > Select Ognion Head

OR

In a terminal:
cd Desktop (or wheverever you downloaded the file)
unzip 71616-OnionHead.zip
mv OnionHead > ~/.purple/smileys

Do the bit with the Pidgin Buddy List

Voilà

i downloaded the file, opened pidgin in tools --> preferences --> emoticon themes --> add then selected the file and pressed open, but nothing happens!! like the file is not recognized or something alike. No error message is displayed. It simply isnt loaded into the emoticon themes list. Any ideas?
