a nice gnome-desklet-manager like superkarambe for kde.
if you want this on this site pls vote this up. and i'm sure the admin will take care of this...

where did u get the dock on the left side? i have gdesklets but it only has a cople things. it does not have the dock. do u no were do download a tar.gz of it? i no how to install it but i cant find were to download it.

Make sure you have the universe repositories enabled, then type in a terminal: sudo apt-get install gdesklets

ya, i totally agree with that. no point posting something on here if you can go to the official site and grab them. i would trust the main site more.

Hi,
I'm administrating some stuff @ the gDesklets project and would like to say sth. about this.
First of all, in general it's a good idea. The problem is: gDesklets soon will have a new site which will contain Desklets made for gDesklets. Authors will be able to post their desklets there. So, if you create a Desklets section on gnome-look.org, you will split up the Desklet-content, what means, that users will have to check both, the official gdesklets site and gnome-look. Do you think this is good? Imho everything should be centralized.

I agree that there should be one primary place to find desklets, but I'd prefer to have it here rather than gDesklets.gnomedesktop.org.

The rating system we have here is more usefull to me than the desklet categories on the official site. If the official site implements a rating system then I'd probably prefer it.

To be fair, I don't have an account on the official site, so maybe the ratings are for registered users only.

...on that point you'r absolutly right. i didn't think of it before...

but actually it would be nice to see a link to gDesklets or somthing like that on this site because gDesklets is a great prog and it is a 100time worth to be mentioned on a gnome-style-site...
