I like this one.
Unfortunately it doesnot work nice on my SuSE 9.3 with KDE3.4 at a screen resoltion of 1280x1024 outof the box: While testing it I found that the background image was not scaled up to my resolution, so I had a look at the config file ~/.kde/share/apps/ksplash/Themes/LinuxAgeEnglish/Theme.rc and in line 10 I simply changed the extension of the Background from png to jpg and now it works fine :-)
