I always like the information and nice look of Konqueror when it loads, but a real webpage can also be nice. So when you want Konqueror to actually start by loading a "homepage", just open up and modify the Icons on your Desktop, and on Kicker... Adding the URL As I did to mine below:

kfmclient openProfile webbrowsing http://www.brockport.edu


Do you like my Desktop? I wanted something Yellow, and felt pretty happy with Suse's Decoration, a KDE 3 background ontop of a Yellow/light yellow gradient, and Teax with yellow custom transparency.

but you can also just choose Save View Profile "Web Browsing" from the Window menu from any regular Web site. I think there should be a separate ability to go to a Home URL when in Web browsing mode in addition to going to one's home directory.
