Description:

KMediagrab is a media grabber and encoder built on top of mplayer/mencoder. It can grab and encode a DVD at the same time (e.g., creating a divx or a videocd file for instance), record a movie or your favourite TV program from your TV-card, or translate a video file from one format to another (e.g., create a realplayer file from a .wmv one).

checking for Qt... configure: error: Qt (>= Qt 3.1 (20021021)) (headers and libraries) not found. Please check your installation!
For more details about this problem, look at the end of config.log.

any idea?

Any updates slated for those of us stuck with the Mplayer ver 1? Tried to downgrade in Fedora Core 3 and flopped bad. Besides, why would I want to revert?

Downgrading to Mplayer .92 seems to a temporary solution to me. When will we see this application upgraded to use the newest version of Mplayer/Mencoder? I think this app is very nice, so thanks for the hard work!

Does ist work as a Analog VCR with a BT8x8 chipset?
If not, does anybody know a tool, to do that?

Well, the current version of mplayer in portage is .92 You must have ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~x86" set?

I was in the same boat (mplayer 1+ installed), but I downgraded to .92 & everything worked great.

This is a very cool app.. I can finally rip some DVDs without being a total wizard...

... it doesn't work with MPlayer 1.0 :/
I'm using gentoo and it has mplayer 1.0pre3, a lot of options are changed and so it's not working anymore :/

I hoped it was the tool I was looking for... and it would... if only it supported mplayer 1 :/
