KDE-based front-end for YUM (Mockup)
Source (link to git-repo or to original if based on someone elses unmodified work): Add the source-code for this project on opencode.net
(First of all, sorry for my english.)
I use Fedora and yum. My desktop is KDE. I want to use a KDE-based app for managing yum.
Fedora has several apps for managing yum in a graphical way, but most of them are Gnome-based (pirut, yumex) and kyum seems to be left. So, I've decided to start my own yum front-end, using PyQt.
This is the first (quick and really ugly) mockup. Feel free to comment, suggest, criticize and create your own mockups. If you vote it bad, please tell me why. If you want to involve yourself in this crazy project, contact me (christiang020 AT yahoo DOT es).
Remember, this is just a mockup. No even one line of code exist at the moment.
(Please, somebody fix this description. English is not my native languaje.)

So start, I would like to test and comment.
As a side note: adept, the kubuntu/apt will have a new GUI in version 2.2 (in development yet). The interesting part is that the new GUI was designed together with designers and people who now how a interface look like for normal users. So you probably want to contact this guy what to do.
Also, when you need artist support or any other support in case of KDE programming, check http://open-collab.org/

But you said you want a userfriendly frontend, not a professional one.

My idea is to develop an easy-to-use and novice-oriented front-end for yum. Surely I'll take some ideas from kyum, but I want to develop a brand new app.
