Description:

This is just a Web shortcut to search the Medline/Pubmed medical database.

I suppose you will only need it if you are a doctor or something like that.

To install it:

1) unpack the file:

$ tar -jxvf kise-pubmed.tar.bz2

2) go to kise-pubmed

$ cd kise-pubmed

3) run the install.sh script (you need root access to complete this step).

# ./install.sh

To use it, just type "pm:terms to search" and press "enter".

You will get all the results containing theese terms (if there is any).

Hi,
looks like you can add that searchenginge by hand as well:
open Konqueror
open Search-dropdown on the right, hit "Select search-engine"
hit "New"
enter:
Name: PubMed
Shortcut: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?db=PubMed&term=\{@}
Shortcut: pm,pubmed
Charset: utf8

Now activate PM as a search-engine and enter your searchterms into the field :D
(or "pm:" into Konquerors' address field)

Yes, you can add it manually with no problems. In fact, I did it like this and then I copied the file pubmed.desktop and added the translations into Catalan, French, English and Portuguese.
