I fixed this problem in 1.5.1.pre2 by saving and restoring all window size and position in a project.

This is with the FC3 RPM.
The exact message-
"There is no default printer. Start with --all to see all printers. [OK]"
Cheers,
Nigel

If I start it as root, it runs fine; if I start it as a user, it seg faults with no other error information provided. Presumably this is a permissions, environment variable, or path issue, but I have no idea what to look for.
Any suggestions?

Please try the latest RPM @
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/labplot/LabPlot-1.4.1-1.FC-3.i386.rpm?download
If the problem still occurs please enable the debug messages with kdebugdialog ("Select all") and start LabPlot from a Terminal.
Please send me the output to see whats happening.

kdebase-3.3.1 (kdebase-3.3.1-4.3.FC3.i386.rpm i think)
and should be installed for KDE.
Just enter "/usr/bin/kdebugdialog" in a terminal and see if its there.

"please enable the debug messages with kdebugdialog ("Select all")"
What is kdedebugdialog? I don't have any files on my machine by that name.

I've attempted to install additional tools and librarioes, such as :
pstoedit-3.33
cdf 2.7
unixODBC-2.2.10
jasper-1.701
netcdf.
And then compile from source.
No effect.
The last lines of "strace LabPlot" is:
[cut]---------------
access("/usr/lib/qt/plugins", F_OK) = 0
--- SIGSEGV (Segmentation fault) @ 0 (0) ---
+++ killed by SIGSEGV +++
[cut]---------------
So I install qsa-x11-free-1.1.1.
... again compile. Howerver there were segfault again.
And now I am using version 1.3.1.

It works if you rename the directory /usr/lib/qt/plugins :
"mv /usr/lib/qt/plugins /usr/lib/qt/plugins.save".
I have no idea why but this somehow fixes the problem.
Is there anyone that knows what may cause this problem?

The installation of source code (.tar.gz) and also to pre-compiled binary (.tgz) was complete, without any error, the curious is that the program don't start. An icon was created in (education-math menu), the binary was installed in /opt/kde/bin/labplot, but it fails to run. The 1.3 version was installed and worked fine (both source code and pre-compiled binary). I have a Slackware 10 complete, with all libraries, etc.
Thanks for answer.
Ideas?
