Description:

Kfilebox 0.4.7 fixes some small problems of the previous version affecting specially Kubuntu systems:

* Missing icon on KDE start menu
* Wrong icon on system notifications
* Missing option on iconset selection in preferences window
* Unreadable highlighted options in preferences window

Kfilebox requires KDE 4.4.x

Are you going to make it work in near future? I have machines which need selective synchronization so it will not work I'll have to stay there with gnome client on KDE.

It works somekind. Althrough the gnome UI client is started with kfilebox "Start dropbox" option. The files are synchronized properly and selected folders for synchronize set in gnome client works this way, too even than kfilebox does not have UI option for it.

I've noticed that when I mouseover the System Tray icon until the plasma notification pops up, it does not go away unless I mouseover another icon, e.g. KMix.

You have hardcoded the path to kdropboxrc in model/Configuration.cpp.
There are distros using .kde4 as localprefix. Better to check this and set a variable.
Nevertheless one of the most useful apps seen this year.

Hello, the correct steps to install kdropbox from source are:

$qmake
$make
$qmake
$sudo make install

The second execution of qmake creates the missing translation files installation instructions

yes, the translation fix (thanks), but the install executable (/bin/kdropbox) no, need install by hand (or modify makefile)

Yes, that's true I have replaced the tar gz: there was a proble in kdropbox.pro

Hi my kdropbox on opensuse 11.2 x86_64 start but not connect automatically, I can't find a preference for this function.

That's normal in version 0.3 (isn't supported). Auto start will be a new feature in v0.4

Nice to see that is only download, compilke and use! THX! This app should be the offical KDE App for Dropbox ! Did you ask the Dropbox guys to link to your App? Maybe they take your work for the official dropbox kde client? I worked for them and send many Bug reports, after that i got the premium acc for one year for free ;)

But i miss 2 Features... First the german translation...Should i make one for the next release?

And did you plan to implermentate KNetworkmanager in this app? Cause i use on my ArchLinux and Asus EEE the Networkmanager and its connecting a little bit slow. So i have to start kdropbox manaually?

Yes! A german translation would be great, but I don't understand what do you mean with knetwork feature. I'm planning to auto-start the daemon from kdropbox when the app starts.

Asking Dropbox guys to add a link is one of my TODOs :D

the makefile is broken (paths of archives and the executables)(for my distro)

make: *** No hay ninguna regla para construir el objetivo `/usr/lib/qt4/mkspecs/linux-g++/qmake.conf', necesario para `Makefile'. Alto.

PD: las paths de los archivos están mal configurados en el makefile. se necesita hacer de nuevo un "qmake" pero el makefile generado también esta roto, ya que borra la parte de las reglas de instalación de los archivos (comparar makefiles posteados). se necesita arreglar

only install the .desktop archive. not install executable and translators

I'm just curious, what are the differences between this Dropbox interface and the original?

I already have Dropbox sitting in tray doing it's job well and the only thing a miss a bit from GNOME desktop is the items flags that shows update/updating/broken and so on, thanks.
